We as result of various transformations since 1975 first emerged as Metals Advisory Service (MAS) and then became a regular department under the Ministry of Industries in 1980 and were named as Metal Industry Research & Development Centre (MIRDC). After the establishment of Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) through Act No. VI of 1996, MIRDC was made Technical Services Centre (TSC) and became one of the three components of PSQCA that is functional since December 01, 2000.
Throughout our existence we have been rendering our services to industry—especially those related to metal and allied products. Today TSC is working with a total strength of 83 including 26 Engineers, Scientists and Technicians.
We offer services of diverse nature ranging from testing, certification, licensing and conformance assessments to technical advisory and consultancy.
